Terms of Business

Fastfix plumbing and Property Maintenance Ltd 


1. Scope of Work
We may use cookies to remember information that changes the way the Service behaves or looks, such as a user's language preference on the Service.


2. Quotations & Pricing

  • All quotations are valid for a period of 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated.

3. Mobilisation Fee

  • For any works where the total contract value exceeds £1,000, a 50% mobilisation fee is required before commencement of work.

  • This fee covers the booking of labour, procurement of materials, and initial scheduling.

  • The remaining 50% is due upon completion of the agreed works unless alternative terms have been agreed in writing.

4. Payment Terms

  • Unless stated or prior payment terms have been agreed all payments are due on completion 

  • Payment can be made via bank transfer, card, or other agreed method.

  • Late payments may be subject to interest charges at 4% above the Bank of England base rate per month, plus reasonable debt recovery costs if applicable.

 

5. Labour Warranty

  • All labour carried out by [Your Company Name] is backed by a 12-month warranty from the date of completion.

  • This warranty covers workmanship only and does not apply to:

    • Materials or parts (covered by manufacturer warranties where applicable)

    • Damage caused by misuse, neglect, or third-party interference

    • General wear and tear or events beyond our control (e.g. weather, natural disasters)

  • Any claims under warranty must be made in writing within the 12-month period and are subject to inspection.

6. Materials & Part

  • All materials supplied remain the property of the Company until full payment is received.

  • Any manufacturer guarantees will be passed on to the client where applicable.
     

7. Cancellations & Delay

  • Clients may cancel booked work with a minimum of 48 hours’ notice.

  • Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled start may be subject to a charge of up to 20% of the job value.

  • The Company is not liable for delays caused by factors beyond its control (e.g. supplier issues, weather, access issues).
     

8. Liability & Insurance

  • The Company maintains full public liability insurance.

  • Liability for damage is limited to the cost of repair or replacement of the affected area or item.
     

9. Access & Site Requirements

  • Clients are responsible for providing safe and reasonable access to the site.

  • Where applicable, clients must ensure necessary permissions or permits are obtained prior to work commencing.
     

10. Dispute Resolution

  • Any disputes should be raised in writing within 14 days of the issue arising.

  • The Company will aim to resolve all disputes amicably and fairly. Failing resolution, disputes may be referred to mediation or legal proceedings.
