Air source heat pumps are a kind of renewable energy technology which provide a fairly low-cost heating system for homes that have well managed ventilation and are well insulated.

What are Air Source Heat Pumps:

These renewable systems are installed on the exterior of a property / building and using the same type of technology to keep your fridge cold but in reverse, to pull warmth from the air (even in freezing temperatures). Liquid refrigerant that has a very low boiling point is pumped on a loop between two heat exchangers. Using this refrigerant to take heat energy from the outside ambient air can be used to heat the building through systems such as underfloor heating, radiators, showers and more.
